Connecting people with nature for the wellbeing of both
The truth is our ancestors were better connected with te taiao/the natural world. We've lost much of it in our modern lives. It then becomes an intrinsic loss. Something that we can't quite put our fingers on but we know something isn't right. It's not an awakening because the ngakau/heart and wairua/soul knows.
It's a re-awakening.
That connection is more than barefeet on the soil. It is the kai/food that we put in our mouths. It is in reading and feeling the whenua/land and all the kaitiaki/guardians in the form of manu/birds, ngarara/insects, etc. In Te Ao Mᾱori it is said that the rᾱkau/trees are our tuakana/older siblings.
Whoever you are and wherever you are. Is it possible to take what you are doing outside?
Sometimes all it takes is for someone to hold the space for us while we take the time to reconnect and heal. There are many alternative healing modalities. This is just one and might be just what you or your group need. Outdoor Bliss offers a variety of opportunities to connect.
